The VA Community Resource and Referral Center
(CRRC) and the Home for the Holidays initiative
provide one-stop, multiagency support to
transition homeless and at-risk Veterans into
permanent housing.
What is the CRRC "Home for the Holidays" Effort?
• Core Goal: An intensive seasonal and yearround
push by VA health systems, local
community partners, and outreach teams to find
unsheltered Veterans and place them into stable
housing before or during the winter holidays.
• One-Stop Access: CRRC sites combine services
under one roof, connecting Veterans with
permanent housing options (such as HUD-VASH
vouchers), healthcare, mental health support,
employment counseling, and legal or utility
assistance.
• Wrap-Around Support
